Ross Kemp

Beginning

After training at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art, Ross Kemp began his acting career on the stage alongside acting greats John Thaw and Richard Wilson. He soon moved from the stage to the silver screen, starting with small parts in Emmerdale Farm (1972-1989), London’s Burning (1986-2002), and Birds of a Feather (1989-2010). He is best-known for his multi award-winning portrayal of Grant Mitchell in EastEnders, first between 1990-1999, returning in 2005 for a year, and once again in 2016.

From starring in a training video for the Ministry of Defence to completely embedding himself in the toughest of situations, via a stint on Albert Square, Ross has enjoyed a wide range of television roles.

Presenting & Journalism
