Tom Ward is an award-winning standup. His stories and observations, combining a sense of the whimsical with the deadpan, have made him a hit on the live circuit, including for his acclaimed Edinburgh show Anthem.
Television
Tom Ward has appeared on Live at the Apollo, Roast Battle, QI, Live From The Comedy Store, and many other popular comedy television shows since first becoming a finalist in the BBC Radio New Comedy Award 2017 and winning the Chortle Award for Best Newcomer that same year.
He is the host and star of Funraisers for Channel 4 Digital, a show described as “a charity shop Taskmaster,” where contestants compete in challenges based in and around a charity shop.
Material
With a laid-back style that occasionally veers toward the quirky, Tom’s routines cover topics like his appearance, frustrations with life’s minutiae (such as being let down by Tupperware), and tales of his evangelical parents and experiences managing a charity shop. Applying his skills as a voice-over artist, Tom also includes occasional impressions—of both people and objects.
Described by The Telegraph as “a very welcome curiosity,” he has also been a presenter on the LADbible series In My Personal Space. Tom’s interviews with celebrities such as Kyle Walker, Lady Leshurr, and Jamie Laing have been watched by millions. He also created, writes, and performs on his podcast People Talk.
Touring & Support Act
Tom Ward will begin his own solo comedy tour in 2025. Having previously supported some of the UK’s biggest comedy acts on sell-out UK tours—including Jack Whitehall, Joe Lycett, Sindhu Vee, and Jason Manford—and following his star-studded, critically acclaimed run at the Edinburgh Fringe, his upcoming debut UK tour is sure to be a hit!
